Breast Cancer Awareness/Tin Haul Shoes

October is Breast Awareness Month which is a time to aid women who are suffering from breast cancer now by contributing help and giving them hope by early detection, education and support from both medical staff and family/friends.

Breast cancer is one of the leading cancers for women in the United States. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed sometime in the future.* And while there is no known cure, many professionals such as scientists and doctors are researching for a concrete result but it is still critical for women and also men to be critical of its early stages.

Urban Western Wear wants to share their gratitude and support Breast Cancer Awareness. By promoting two popular and vibrant shoes that are not solely helpful to flaunt your self-esteem and confidence, you can share their own gratitude by extolling the women fighting this disease and holding their heads up high to continue on with their lives with such happiness.

The Tin Haul’s Courage boots, featuring its exemplary Obvious Soles, are made comfortable by their cushioned insole, double welt and leather walking heel. These 13” leather-lined handmade boots have a wide square toe and its vamp has a brown wingtip.

This vertically-stitched shaft has ‘COURAGE’ on its side as each shoe sole has a ninja with the phrase ‘Kick Cancer’. The right heel has a cancer symbol with the word ‘courage’ and the left heel has the phrase ‘Unite in the Fight’.

The Women’s Tin Haul Boots Hope incorporate its “Hope” embroidery on the 13’’ distressed leather shaft and feature a brown boot pulls to contrast its hot pink embroidery. The brown vamp is lauded as its design has unique flair of design with its malleable tattooesque markings.

These cowboy boots blend a mixture of traditional features of wide square toe, double stitch welts and easy walking heels, but with an urban stroke. Its cushioned insole and leather lining boosts your self-esteem by flaunting your confidence and aggressiveness without disrupting your day by causing havoc on your feet.

These stimulating footwear will get every customer to spread the word behind not solely its customary design but also its novelty outsole supporting the Tin Haul tradesmark. Its beautiful outsole inlay of “Hope for the fighters, peace for the survivors” has decadent white font over a hot pink backdrop to illustrate the virtue of hope that will extol commendation to the person purchasing the dazzling duo of boots.

Tin Haul’s Top 4 His and Hers Boots

Tin Haul has mastered His and Hers boots, in our humble opinion, of course. Ever since the inception of the original sharky boot, Tin Haul has done an excellent job in listening to their consumer and delivering exactly what they ask for. Below we’re reviewing the top 4 His and Hers  boots that Tin Haul has offered us.

Shark Boots

Of course this is our top 1. The men’s version of this boot was so successful that a women’s version was soon under planning. This style features a slightly darker leather, and a more feminine, but equally edgy shark. Beyond that, the only other difference is the soles. While the men’s version displays an attractive woman in a dirndl offering up a beer, the women’s version ready “Man Eater” in a pink background.

Patriotic

Perfect to show your American Pride, Tin Haul created Freedom and American Woman. The design is almost identical with a United States of America Flag motif on the top, which the women’s version has a tint of pink on it. The boot’s soles are different with the men’s showing tags that read “Fredom isn’t Free” and the women’s “Shoot like a Woman” but despite this difference, both boots scream “I Love America.”

Christian Themed

One of the all time favorite boots is Between Two Thieves. This are the only boots, as of now, that are identical for both men and women, and we can see why. This boot’s design is simply perfect, so there was no reason to make any changes at all. The tan and white top design features some crosses and the soles read “John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Last year Tin Haul launched the men’s boot “Ichthys Aroundus” and it became instantly popular. Tin Haul listened to its consumers as many asked for a women’s version of it and has now released “I Believe” coming out in June of this year. While both styles read “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” on the sole and have a very similar design, the women’s version color is a tad deeper.

I Love Vegas

Tin Haul has relaunched a new version of their famous Vegas Boots and now in matching men and women’s styles. Both styles feature the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign on the soles, and a set of card on the toe. The women’s version has a metallic sheen to it with some swirly design on the shaft, and the men’s design is a bit more subtle, but they’re still a great match. They’re loud, they’re fun, and they will hopefully bring you some luck 😉

Pig Man, Boots and Valentine’s Day

If your significant other likes hunting, chances are you’ve heard of Pig Man. If you don’t hunt, chances also are that you pretend to know what he or she is talking about and nod a lot while he or she tells you all about it. There’s no better gift than to be able to share in something your significant other likes, except maybe some kickass boots but we’ll get to those later. With Valentine’s around the corner, our gift to you today is a quick guide to Pig Man and his greatness, so you can stop nodding along and feigning interest.

Pig Man? What?

His real name is Brian Quaca, but Pig Man is catchy and really cool. He’s been Pig Man photo shoot - March 2014 Brian Quaca. For TV.hunting his whole life, but since a young age showed a passion, talent and concern for the issue that were non-indigenous pigs in central Texas, where he grew up. Despite being an avid hunter of many species, pigs became his forte and as neighbors began enlisting his help with their pig problems, he earned the nickname of Pig Man.

Is that it?

No, not even close. It was his concern for this problem plaguing his hometown that led him to become a rifle smith. He was pretty good at it. Are you noticing a pattern yet?

His excellent skills as a riffle smith led people to ask him to lead their hunts, where they witnessed first hand yet another thing he was great at. Eventually, leading hunts became his primary job and his popularity earned him guest spots in a few tv shows before he was offered his very own show.
The popularity of his own tv show stretched throughout industries, from hunting gear to ready to
wear. He famously wore Tin Haul’s best selling boot “Gnarly Shark,” which sent the boot’s demandthrough the roof!  So much, that Tin Haul made and named the “Not Boaring” boot after him. Seriously, how cool is that?! (These boots are still available and are the perfect gift to any Pig Man aficionado, by the 41257_10395disp14238_30535dispway.)

At the end of 2014 Pig Man was critically injured in a car accident that left him with multiple skull fractures, severe facial lacerations, cracked ribs, a broken wrist, bleeding on the brain and major damage to his right eye. Despite what some would consider career ending injuries, Pig Man managed to make a come back, like a real one not like the Backstreet Boys’ kind, and is back on top. In June 2015 a two episode special “Pigman Rising” aired on the Sportsman Channel narrating his road back to recovery.

What does this have to do with Valentine’s day?

Oh yeah, that’s where we were going with this. A lot.

First, if that special one is a Pig Man fan we have the
perfect gift for them. You can choose from the Gnarly Shark, the Not Boaring, or any other Tin Haul Boots really, since Brian does wear the brand regularly. What about for women? The Gnarly Pink Shark!

Most importantly, all new Pig Man episodes premiere on February 14th on Sportsman Channel, so make that a part of your Valentine’s Day plans and surprise them with all you’ve learned about Pig Man with this quick guide. During commercials, of course.

The 5 boot themes that prove Tin Haul has a boot for everyone

Everyone knows Tin Haul for their loud, creative designs that allow you to express yourself. Every inch of a Tin Haul of boot is meticulously designed to match that boot’s designated theme.  And it is precisely these themes that make Tin Haul the boots for everyone.

For the Football Fanatic

Whether he lives for the Friday Night Lights, Football Sundays, or Monday Night Football, these Football Stadium Boots make his love for the game known at every step. The Obvious Soles on this pair show pretty cool football field, but it is actually the design in the front that attracts most of customers. Everyone loves the football lacing details and, in our humble opinions, it’s what makes this whole boot so awesome.

For the Devout16222

We often get requests for the “Tin Haul Jesus Boot” and our favorite part is answering “which one?” After the insane popularity that the Between Two Thieves Boots had, Tin Haul has continued to make christian themed boots that are always very well received. The most recent styles are Ichthys Aroundus which displays Philipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” in the obvious sole. In true Tin Haul fashion, even the stitched cross design in the front is made out ichthys symbols.

16215For women, “I love Jesus” was designed in a beautiful blue tone and features john 4:19 “we love him because he first loved us” in the obvious sole.

16213For the Survivors, the Fighters, and Supporter

There is only one complaint we get regarding the Tin Haul Hope Boot and that is “but why don’t they make it for men too!?” Don’t worry, we always pass that feedback to the Tin Haul team in hopes they start making it one day. The Hope boot is Tin Haul’s effort to raise breast cancer awareness during October, as well as every other day in the year. The obvious sole eloquently reads “Hope for the Fighters, Peace for the Survivors” with an iconic pink ribbon in the background.

16218
For the Patriots

American Woman and Freedom boots are for those out there who love their country more than anything else. For the loud patriots who like to scream their love for the american flag at every opportunity, these boots are adorned with the stars and stripes alike. American Woman’s obvious sole reads “Shoot Like a Woman”
because the only thing better than a woman who loves the United States is a woman who loves the United States and can shoot well enough to prove it. 16228

Freedom, the men’s patriotic boot version, can also be sported in support of the troops since the sole design is a dog tag inscribed with the words “Freedom isn’t Free.”

16219For the 90’s Child

There’s nothing a 90’s child loves more than telling people they’re a 90’s child and Tin Haul is about to save you the words. No longer will you need to figure out how to stealthily drop what era you grew up in during conversation, all you need are the Multicolor Sunflower Boots. Not only are the toes of these awesome boots covered in sunflowers, the most iconic flower in the 90’s, but the obvious sole design is smiley faces. Enough said.

3 Questions You Should Be Asking Yourself Before Buying Ariat Boots for Men or Other Cowboy Boots

ariat boots for menWestern wear has been popular since it was worn in the early 19th century on the frontier as people battled the elements moving westward. But where denim, flannel, and cowboy boots were once a necessity on rough terrain, today they tend to be more of a fashion statement than anything else. Whether it’s fashion or function, buying a good pair of cowboy boots should involve some background knowledge.

If you’re considering making a purchase to get an authentic cowboy or cowgirl look, make sure you do your research first. Here are the three questions you should be asking yourself before buying cowboy boots.

Does brand name matter when buying cowboy boots?
Brand matters, but not necessarily in the way you might think! For instance, Ariat boots for men and women are just one of the many brand options. Brand names like Ariat boots for men may come in a number of neutral tones and include western style work boots; for women, these western style boots can include a number of styles, heel heights, and other details. While Ariat boots for men and women might be one of the options available, there are other brands, too, including Cinch, Tin Haul, and Tony Lama boots, which will all have their own unique look. But don’t get so hung up on brand name. Yes, it may matter in terms of authenticity, but there are other factors to consider when buying cowboy boots.

What’s important when buying cowboy boots?
One of the best ways to gauge quality is to look at the materials being used to make the boots. Cowboy boots, especially, need to use genuine leather, or else they risk wearing out fast when made from cheaper materials. A finished leather will give boots a shiny appearance; unfinished leather has a matte quality to it and is good for a more rustic look. However, caring for your boots is just as important, if not more so, in making them last. Make sure to remove dust and dirt after each wear, and polish the boots if necessary, to keep the leather in good condition. Leather lotions and other treatments can also help to reduce cracking and wear on boots.

Is it worth it to buy discount cowboy boots?
The nice thing about western wear is that it doesn’t have to be expensive. While some brands can cost a small fortune for a basic outfit, other names in western fashion offer the same styles for less. Some retailers will even offer discounts on designer brands that would cost far more elsewhere. In other words, yes, it can be worth it to buy cowboy boots at a discount, but only if you know what you’re getting.

Three Things to Keep in Mind That Will Help You Find the Best Pair of Cowboy Boots

ariat boots for menHow well do you know your cowboy boots? Whether you’re in need of a new pair or buying them for the first time, it is imperative that you get it right, so you’re not running out shopping again in a month or two. Here are three aspects of the process for buying cowboy boots that you’ll need to keep in mind as you shop:

Pay attention to the fit
While choosing comfortable shoes are a given in most cases, you may be unfamiliar with how cowboy boots are supposed to feel once you put them on. You may wonder how tight the toes should be, or how much room you should have in the heel. While some aspects of the fit may come down to preference, there are ways to avoid discomfort when you buy western style boots. Pay attention to the boots’ width: either B or C for women and D or EE for men. Despite the pointed toe, the boots will accommodate your foot so long as you purchase the correct width. Your toes should be no more or less than 1 to 1-1/2 inches away from the end of the boot, and you should be able to slip them on comfortably. However, fit may vary a bit by brand, such as when it comes to the difference between Cinch boots and Ariat boots for men.

Know your brands
For some people, brand really doesn’t matter. When it comes to choosing an authentic pair of cowboy boots, though, you may want to pay attention. Tony Lama, Cinch, Tin Haul, and Ariat boots for men and women are all examples of popular western fashion brands, for instance. Different brands can also mean a plethora of designs to choose from: Ariat boots for men may offer you different designs that a pair of Tony Lama boots. No matter which brand you choose, all cowboy boots need to be cared for the same way. Because leather can crack and wear out easily, you’ll want to make sure that you shine them with a sponge after each use. This goes for both finished leather, which has a shiny luster, and unfinished leather, which is more matte and gives the look of vintage western boots.

Expect to pay for quality
Sure, you might be able to find dirt cheap boots, but often the price is too good to be true if you’re looking for something that will last. At the same time, the price for a pair of cowboy boots can climb as high as $20,000 for a pair that are custom made. Many outlets and retailers will offer discount cowboy boots that are the same great brands but sold for far less than they would normally cost. While it is true that you’re paying for quality leather and craftsmanship when you choose an authentic western brand, it is possible to get a good deal if you know where to look.
